東、西區目前戰績第一的騎士與勇士，連續2年在耶誕大賽碰頭，今天騎士掌握主場優勢，靠著厄文（Kyrie Irving）在最後37秒內的2次關鍵出手命中，幫助球隊將分數追平，還將分數超前，終場以109：108逆轉勇士，用勝利歡度耶誕佳節，拿下5連勝。
此役戰況猶如上屆冠軍戰，勇士同樣是在領先的情況下被逆轉。關鍵第四節騎士一度落後13分，但全隊急起直追在剩下37秒時，靠著厄文切入上籃將分數差距縮短至1分差，最後他在關鍵3秒時出手命中，幫助球隊取得超前，最後全隊也靠著嚴密的防守，守住勝果。
當最終哨聲響起時，全場球迷都站起來歡呼，騎士球星詹姆斯（LeBron James）也忍不住送給厄文一個大擁抱，畫面溫馨感人。
本戰是兩隊自從上屆冠軍戰交手後，本季首度交鋒，騎士全場共有4人得分達雙位數；其中詹姆斯上場約40分鐘，22投12中，拿下全隊最高的31分，抓下本季個人單場最多的13個籃板，另有4助攻，但有5失誤，幫助球隊中斷勇士的7連勝，同時中止個人連2年在耶誕節落敗的厄運。
厄文表現也很優異，上場約44分鐘是全場打最久的球員，27投11中，得到全隊次高的25分，有10助攻、7抄截和6籃板，在最後關鍵時刻出手命中，無疑是球隊奪勝的最大功臣。
勇士則有4人得分達雙位數，其中杜蘭特（Kevin Durant）上場約38分鐘，23投11中，得到全場最高36分，有15籃板、3助攻表現，且完全沒發生失誤，對決詹姆斯表現毫不遜色。可惜最後3秒他受到騎士的嚴加看管，雖然有拿球的機會，但沒辦法將三分球出手投進，無緣幫助球隊拿下勝利。
